LISTENING TO THAT INNER VOICE

Now  i know of a man almost 6 years ago was at the local DVD  shop and was picking on his favourite movies to spend time on.  He had been a regular movie shopper and felt that the seller should act in favour once in a while so as to tighten the  bond. So on this occasion he chose to take it on himself to forcefully but subtly grant this favour.

As he was checking on which collection he should pick, he came across this collection that seemed interesting, he looked right ,he looked left and when he was sure no one was looking, he quickly removed Disc and hid it on the nether region.

At that time a feeling or rather a sense of guilt paraded his face and he started panicking. The owner did not notice but rather this joyful countenance as usual. So the level of panic nosedived   and now the man continued searching pg. 7

the collection until he chose on one and paid for it. The man parted ways with the owner with the usual till- i- see-you- next- time greeting. Now while the man was on the way, the man after every 10m,he would look behind to see if any  one was following ,there was a sense of unease, moments of anxieties and mountains of panic.

The tower of guilt was caving in on his mind. “what have you done, this is bizarre, you’ve  gone against  your own principles ”even at the time he reached home, as he took the stolen disc the voice came again and the man repented of his sin and said,
“From today, I’ll never steal, that was the last” You see, in the case above, it’s a classic example of how one can commit an action that goes contrary to his or her moral principle or moral values.

This leads to a person developing feelings of remorse guilt e.t.c  and now the spirit  now in sync with the mind  leads that person to say that he will not repeat again. Since  I’ve   cultivated a culture of integrity until it has become ingrained in my DNA, any act that goes contrary to the established principle, leaves me developing feelings of remorse.

You’ve   probably heard of the phrase, “The conscience is seared with hot iron”. There are times when you can tell that a person’s conscience is dead. The person    may be extremely licentious, hardcore criminal, serial psychopaths e.t.c. When you see a person too deeply involved in these deeds and doesn’t feel a sense of remorse afterwards,  you can tell that the persons conscience has been seared with hot iron rod. At  times, you’ve  witnessed people do things they see are right in their own eyes but in the eyes of fellow human beings its wrong.

When confronted they say, judgement between right and wrong is

relative. Meaning what the fellow human beings deem as right ,could be wrong in the persons eyes, while what they see as right in their own eyes ,is wrong in the fellow human beings. SO THERE IS NOW THIS NEVER ENDING TUSSLE OF WAR BETWEEN WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG. But there is a standard that settles the matter.
